Current Research in Bioinformatics
Analytics Modelling, Simulation, and Applications
Description
This special issue is devoted to Analytics Modelling, Simulation, and Applications in several fields such business, health and medicine, food and agriculture, as well as infrastructure. Analytical models are key to understanding data, generating predictions, and making business decisions. Analytics is a relatively new area that incorporates math, statistics and computer science elements and techniques with the goal of extracting valuable information from data. It may consist of prediction, optimization, experimentation, and decision making.
Manuscripts are solicited of theoretical and experimental articles, both review and original research contributions, on the synthesis of free standing or substrate supported analytics modelling, simulation, and applications in several fields such business, health and medicine, food and agriculture, as well as infrastructure.
Articles discussing methodology, and reviews of the current state of knowledge and possibilities for future research, are especially welcome. Moreover, this issue will publish reviews and research articles. There is no restriction on the length of the papers. Full experimental and methodological details, as applicable, must be provided.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Simulation and Modeling
- Structure Prediction
- Model Design and Evaluation
- Pattern Recognition
- Data Mining and Machine Learning
- Visualization and Web Services in Bioinformatics
