EXPERIMENTAL MEASUREMENTS AND MODELING USING CESFAMBTM SOFTWARE OF THE PRODUCT GAS COMPONENTS ON THE 2MWTH GASIFIER PLANT
- 1 Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), Belgium
Abstract
The work assesses the performance of a prototype 2MWth plant as an auxiliary source of energy based on biomass gasification using wood pellets as a fuel. During steady operation, process temperature, process pressure and concentrations of components in the product gas have been measured the measurements are compared to the simulation results obtained with the CeSFaMBTM software. The underlying model in this software is also used to determine the sensitivity of the simulated concentrations to various parameters of the gasification process. The results of modeling are in general agreement with those obtained experimentally.
